Eligibility

Students: U of T students paying incidental fees for the current term can access these spaces at no additional cost. 

Members: Anyone who has a current Sport & Rec membership can access these space at no additional cost.


Facility Update Notice:

Upcoming adjustments to open gym will be listed below:

  • Accessing to Athletic Centre SCC: Effective May 21, all members must scan their TCard or membership card to access the AC Strength and Conditioning Centre.
  • Thurs. June 28 to Mon. July 1: No Open Gym access during holiday/building closure. 
  • Tues. July 2 to Fri. Aug. 16: Modified access to AC Weight Lifting Zone - No access from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. 

Equipment/What to Wear

Participants are asked to wear comfortable and appropriate attire and footwear that's suitable for fitness and gym activities.

Open Gym Hours at the Athletic Centre

Access Update

Effective May 21, 2024, Sport & Rec has implemented a pilot program requiring all members to scan their TCard or membership card to access the AC Strength and Conditioning Centre. A new scanner has been placed at the SCC entrance, so please ensure you bring your card with you to your workouts in this space. After scanning your card, you can use the space as you normally would.

 

By scanning your card upon entry, you are helping us to better understand how our space is used. We will be able to identify key information, such as usage volumes in the space and peak usage times. This will inform and improve our programming in the future. Please note that data collected by the new SCC scanner is the same data already collected by the Athletic Centre’s main entrance scanners.

Women-only hours offer the chance for women-identifying individuals to work out safely and comfortably. Only women-identifying staff will be in attendance and windows will be covered. Learn more about our women-only programming here.
