From the research and expertise of U of T to the gym training floor, IMPACT Training is a progressive workout program that meets you where you are and helps you advance from week to week. Whether your goals are related to performance for sport or performance for life, are you ready to make an IMPACT on your fitness?

IMPACT stands for Integrated Movement, Performance, Agility and Conditioning Team. Detailed programming and a personalized coaching experience, combined with the comradery of a team will have you training like a pro in no time.

  • Class options with an IMPACT Training Pass include all members and women-only

Get stronger, move better and enhance your performance with IMPACT Training. Come train in a team environment and get your sweat on! With the IMPACT Training Pass, you will get access to all eligible IMPACT sessions!

  • To see the most benefit of your training, it is encouraged to participate in 2-3 sessions per week!

Women-only IMPACT sessions offer the chance for women to work out safely and comfortably. Only women-identifying staff will be coaching these sessions.

  • 10:1 participants-to-coach ratio

A full-body workout with a variety of training focuses, including strength, power, and conditioning training in a small group setting. Involves detailed programming, personalized coaching, plus the comradery of a team! 

With an IMPACT Training Pass, you have access to 6x IMPACT Training sessions, plus 2x Women-Only sessions per week. 

60-minute class.

Class registration for each session is required at recreation.utoronto.ca. An IMPACT Training Pass is required in order to participate. With an IMPACT Training Pass, you are able to participate in as many classes as you want each each for the duration of the pass period.  

Each class will start with a friendly intro from the coach, leading into a dynamic warmup. 

In each session, you will perform 6-8 exercises using a variety of exercise equipment including barbells, squat racks, dumbbells, kettlebells, and more. You will build on your capacity to move well week by week. Coaches will be guiding you every step of the way. 

Every class will finish with a cool down and closing greeting. 

All members - U of T students paying incidental fees for the current term; Active Sport & Rec members. An IMPACT Training Pass is required in order to participate 

Can be adapted to be beginner friendly or more advanced. 

Coaches are able to provide modifications for varying abilities. 

All equipment will be provided, including barbells, dowels, weights, and more! 

No special clothing is required. Wear something you can move comfortably in. Wear comfortable closed-toe and athletic shoes.

Members are required to purchase the IMPACT Training Pass for this program at an additional cost via https://recreation.utoronto.ca/ 

Members can purchase the pass at any time during the sale duration (posted above). 

Participants can request a partial refund for the pass at any time during the pass period. A pro-rated refund will be provided from the date of the email request, less a $13.05 + HST administrative fee. To request a refund for an earlier period, valid medical documentation must be provided listing the date of illness/injury. No refunds, holds, or extensions are provided due to closures, schedule changes, or facility availability. Please email fitness.performance@utoronto.ca for these requests.
