To receive your refund, please visit one of our Sport and Rec facilities (i.e. Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre or Varsity Centre) during business hours or call our Customer Experience team at 416-978-3436. You have the option of having the funds returned to your credit card or allowing the funds to remain on your account for future in-person purchases.  

Yes, single day passes are available to purchase online or in-person for $20.48 + HST. Single day passes allow members in and out access to all of our facilities (i.e. Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, Varsity Centre) until the building closes. Schedules for each program can be found by visiting the Sport & Recreation page. Please note of any building closures and cancellation dates prior to your arrival.

  1. Log in to your account at http://recreation.utoronto.ca
  2. Near the top right of the page, click on your username/email address and select Profile.
  3. Select invoices from the left side menu and the pay button will appear.

Discounted memberships are available to graduates from the University of Toronto or those who have completed at least 4 full undergraduate credits or 1 year of graduate school. An alumni card must be presented or a status check must be completed to obtain this type of membership. More information about discounted memberships can be found here.

Non-student members have access to the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, and Varsity Centre. A Sport & Rec Membership does not include access to Hart House.

If you are a non-student member, please visit one of our front desk staff to get a Sport & Rec replacement card or ask the staff at the turnstiles to verify your access. 

Members can be added to the waiting list via http://recreation.utoronto.ca or in person at the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, or Varsity Centre. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email and will have 24 hours to complete the registration in person or online. Program registrations and waitlisted spaces are non-transferable. Click here for more information.

For all adult registered instructional programs, members can register or transfer to another program offering before the start of the 2nd class. Once the registration period closes, registration and transfer requests cannot be completed.

All membership cancellation requests, including a reason for the request, must be received in writing to sportandrec@utoronto.ca.

Within 10 days

Full refunds are given upon cancellation of memberships within 10 days of the purchase date.

After 10 days

A pro-rated refund will be provided from the date of the email request minus a $22.12 + HST administrative fee. To request a refund for an earlier period, valid medical documentations must be provided listing the date of illness/injury. 

Please be advised that restricted or limited hours of operation for some parts of the facility may occur during exam periods, maintenance periods, and the holiday closures. While we endeavour to provide timely notifications, some unexpected service interruptions may occur. Refunds, membership extensions or holds are not issued due to these interruptions or closures unless stated otherwise. 

Members can access and use the Fitness Studio within the Strength and Conditioning Centre (Tier 4 Level) at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport during Open Gym hours and if not in use by a group fitness class (i.e. yoga, barre, etc.) or rental group.  

Members can only access the Dance Studio at the Athletic Centre for a recreational workout activity or for a rental.

All recognized U of T student clubs and groups may apply to rent facilities at the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, and Varsity Centre. Please note that Student Group facility rentals are for use by recognized U of T student clubs/groups. Use of our facilities cannot be transferred to a non-university group. There are 3 types of booking options: on-going bookings, one-time bookings, and tabling opportunities. More information about booking our facilities as a U of T Student Club/Group can be found here

Non-university and external groups looking to book facility space are welcome to apply here

During the fall/winter months, participation is limited to U of T students (who have paid KPE incidental fees) only. Staff, faculty, and alumni may be permitted under certain restrictions.

During the summer months, U of T students and community members who have purchased an active Sport & Rec membership are also permitted to participate. Once you have joined your team, you will need to ensure you have joined your team's roster on IMLeagues.com

Unfortunately only public parking lots and street parking spaces are available. 

U of T student ticket accounts must be activated to order a FREE U of T Student Ticket online. If that ticket option does not appear, please contact us here or come to fan services window at the Box Office on game day. 

U of T alumni rates available for online purchases only. New alumni customers must register here or come to fan services window at the Box Office on game day. 

All other spectators can purchase tickets here. Children 5 and under will be provided free tickets at the gate.
