Member Access
Membership Is required to access facilities and programming
All U of T students who have paid KPE athletic incidental fees for the term are automatically members of the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport and Varsity Centre and do not need to purchase a membership. This includes part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students.
Cards must be scanned to gain access
TCards or Sport & Rec membership cards must be scanned at the turnstile to access our facilities. Cards are not transferrable.
Forgotten card
Students and members may access the facility without their TCard/Sport & Recreation membership card three (3) times within a full year (September 1 – August 31).
If the purpose of the visit is for drop-in sports or registered programs or Intramural/Tri-Campus leagues, after three (3) uses of the ‘forgot card’ privilege, a student or member will be denied entry. Lost TCards must be reported and can be replaced for a $20 fee at the TCard Office, located at the Koffler Student Services Centre. Non-student members can purchase a replacement membership card for $9.74 + HST at the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, and Varsity Centre. Alternatively, the student or member may leave to retrieve their card, or choose not to access the facilities at that time.

A TCard is a physical identification and credential for on-campus purposes. Data from this card, including photo, UTORid, and student number is used to grant secure access to Sport & Recreation facilities. The consistent use of this card allows us to ensure the security of our facilities for all of our students, staff and members. Sport and Rec membership cards act in the same manner, to preserve the integrity of our programs and services, and to maintain a safe environment. All cards are non-transferrable.
All U of T students, staff/faculty, and community members are required to scan a valid TCard or Sport & Recreation membership card every time they enter the turnstiles at the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre, and Varsity Centre.
