Eligibility & Pricing:
Students: U of T students paying incidental fees for the current term can access this program for an additional fee.
Members: Anyone who has a current Sport & Rec membership can access this programming for an additional fee.

Boxing for fitness
Add to your fitness routine and diversify your workouts by learning proven boxing techniques from a Champion! In this non-contact introductory program, you will be exposed to the fundamentals of boxing, which includes specific demonstrations from your instructor along with individual practice and non-contact partner work. Every lesson will build on the last one, so that you can progress your skills with confidence.
We will start class with a proper warm-up then dive into the lesson of the week, which involves different elements of boxing and fitness, such as footwork drills, technical punching exercises, defensive movements, partner work, conditioning circuits, and more!
By the end of this program, you will have mastered basic form and skills with the confidence to join any boxing class with a solid foundation of knowledge and technique.
This program is open to all members. No previous experience is necessary. All equipment provided.
Program capacity: 24 participants
Winter Session Period: Jan 22 - Mar 5 (No class Feb 19 for Reading Week)

registration & Withdrawal/Refunds
Members are required to register for this program at an additional cost via https://recreation.utoronto.ca/
Participants are able to register up until the start of the 2nd class.
Participants are able to request a class transfer up until the start of the 2nd class.
Participants are able to request a cancellation and refund up until the start of 2nd class. Participants will be refunded the full amount less a cancellation fee of 10% or $5 - whichever is greater - for each withdrawn registration. Please email sportandrec@utoronto.ca with a reason for the cancellation. Learn more about our registration and withdrawal policies here.
Participants are not officially registered in a program until a confirmation email from Sport & Rec is received indicating that enrollment has been processed. The confirmation email is sent immediately after registration is complete. If the confirmation email is not received, participants should contact Sport & Rec to verify enrollment.

All equipment will be provided, including gloves, hand wraps, skipping ropes, and more!
No special clothing is required. Wear something you can move comfortably in. Wear comfortable closed-toe and athletic shoes.
