Overview
The Sport Ecology Lab at U of T works at the intersection of climate change and sport, physical activity, and play. Bridging climate science, environmental ethics and policy, sport management, and environmental physiology, we tackle questions like 'how hot is too hot for outdoor play?' and 'how do wildfires impact the health and wellbeing of outdoor recreationists and athletes?' Our Lab collaborates with organizations across Canada and internationally on actionable research, crafting and testing solutions that will keep sport and physical activity - from the playground to the podium - safe and fun into the future.
Areas of Research
