Rachel is currently in a Master of Teaching program and has two years of experience working as a barre instructor. Fitness has always been a big part of her life, and she has spent the past four years doing heavy lifting at the gym and staying active through a variety of sports. Rachel loves bringing high energy to class and helping people feel strong, confident, and empowered. You can expect a challenging yet approachable workout that focuses on strength, control, and endurance. Rachel is a passionate barre instructor with a strong background in both barre fitness and dance. Dedicated to empowering individuals to feel strong and confident in their bodies, Rachel creates a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. Professionally, Rachel works as an ecologist, studying the effects of plastic pollution and chemicals on waterways. Known for being a powerhouse, Rachel inspires confidence and strength in every class.

Natasha is a medical student at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine with 20 years of experience in diverse dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and flamenco. With over five years of experience as a Zumba/Cardio Dance Party instructor, she combines her passion for dance with promoting health and wellness. She has taught Zumba/CDP for seven years and loves how these classes bring community members of all different ages, fitness levels and backgrounds together. Natasha's classes are designed to be welcoming, energizing, and fun, while enhancing cardiovascular fitness through a diverse array of dance styles and music from around the world, and catering to participants of all ages and fitness levels. Steven offers a variety of dance classes, including Cardio Dance Party, K-pop, Salsa, and Bachata. Abby is a graduate of the Masters in East Asian Studies program at the University of Toronto and holds a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. A former womens' wear designer at UNIQLO in New York City, Abby has been a certified Hatha yoga teacher since 2016, specializing in relaxed vinyasa yoga flow while exploring various yoga styles. Passionate about fitness, Abby integrates weightlifting and other forms of movement into a holistic approach to wellness.
Fiza Mahtani
Fiza is a recent U of T graduate and has been practicing yoga for as long as she can remember. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Union Bali and teaches a creative, strength driven vinyasa flow to leave students feeling nourished and confident in their bodies. Fiza’s classes begin with a short grounding practice and intuitive warm-up, easing you into movement before building into a creative flow of strengthening and stretching poses. Every pose comes with modifications so you can challenge yourself further or soften as needed. Expect to play with balance, build strength, and sink into stretches that feel both accessible and rewarding. And above all, expect to leave with a big smile! Kristy is on staff at Hart House. She has been teaching yoga since 2017, to students of all ages and abilities. She teaches a relaxing vinyasa style, with options for students of all levels and experience. Kristy's goal is for students to leave class feeling refreshed and revitalized, with tools to connect mind and body in a meaningful way outside the classroom in their real lives as well. lola Leving
Lola is a RYT-200 certified yoga instructor who brings a unique blend of anatomical and technical expertise, mindful movement, breathwork, and intentional sequencing to her classes. Her teaching style is experiential and intuitive, encouraging students to listen to their bodies while exploring the practice. She is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto, where her research examines the role of bodily awareness and embodied practices in emotional processing. Students can expect a dynamic vinyasa flow that blends energy with intention. Her classes build heat through breath-linked movement and creative sequencing, while also incorporating slow, grounding moments and a calming cool-down so students leave feeling both energized and restored.
Maya Gangji
Maya has been involved with the Sivananda Yoga Organization since 2016 and has been teaching at the Sivananda Yoga Toronto Centre since 2022. Maya's experience includes traditional Hatha yoga, Kirtan/mantra chants, and discussions on the Bhagavad Gita. Currently, Maya is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, studying Physiology, Psychology, and Buddhism, and is heavily involved in campus life.
Melissa Campegnolo
Melissa is an experienced yoga teacher, meditator, breathing educator, and yoga therapist who teaches as part of the Mindful Moments program. With extensive study in the Viniyoga tradition, Melissa specializes in adapting yoga to meet individual needs. Melissa's classes are beginner-friendly, focusing on stretching, strengthening, and unwinding to provide a range of benefits for participants.

Smriti is a University of Toronto alum who was raised in India, where yoga has been a constant part of life. Smriti completed 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training programs in Bangalore and Mysore, India. Smriti's teaching focus emphasizes grounding and self-awareness through conscious stillness, controlled movement, and synchronized breath.

Suzi believes in the calming and grounding effects of combining movement, breath, and meditation. Suzi's classes offer a blend of breathwork, slow vinyasa flow, and restorative poses. With a teaching style that encourages exploration with curiosity and without judgment, Suzi fosters a supportive and open environment for all participants.

jacqueline Shkabari
Jacqueline is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto. She has been enthralled by fitness ever since she was a child — playing sports all her life and always making it a priority to stay active. She got into Pilates in university and hasn't stopped since, while also incorporating strength training, sports and salsa to keep things fun and well-rounded. She joined U of T as one of two founding instructors for the university's very first Pilates program. Her style is a modern twist to classical Pilates, blending key foundations with modern moves and music, adding a burn and pulse to every moment. She brings a light, fun and welcoming energy to every class, encouraging everyone to show up for themselves during their time together. Expect intensity, burn, pulse, strength, and lengthening, all while we're building a real mind and body connection.
