Adult Registered Classes Information

U of T students and members have access to a variety of registered instruction classes. Small class sizes and dedicated instructors make registered programs ideal for all skill levels and interests. Many beginner classes include equipment but rentals are also available. 

How to register

Please note: Classes are not held on statutory holidays, long weekends or during reading week. Please refer to the hours of each facility for more information.

To register for and participate in programs individuals must be current U of T students who have paid the KPE athletic incidental fees or community members with a valid membership. Memberships must be valid until the end of the program. Certifications including First Aid & CPR do not require membership to register. 

U of T students and members can also sign up for registered programs in the following ways:

  • Online at U of T students, staff and faculty with a valid membership can login with a UTORid. Community members interested in registering for classes will need an account. 
  • In-person at the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport and the Varsity Centre.

Members who are on a waiting list and have been notified that a space has become available for themselves or their dependent can register in person at one of our customer service locations or online ( if they have received a link via email. 

Please keep in mind that there is a 48 hour window to register if you receive a link.

Registration and Transfer Policies

For aquatic programs members can register or transfer to another program offering before the start of the 2nd class. 

Please contact a customer experience representative to make a transfer request. 

For non-aquatic programs (gymnastics, skating, tennis, etc.) members can register or transfer to another program offering (as long as there is capacity in another class) before the start of the 2nd class.

Withdrawal and Refund Policies

All program withdrawal requests, including a reason for the request, must be received in writing to Participants will be refunded the full amount less a cancellation fee of 10% or $5 - whichever is greater - for each withdrawn registration. Refunds are processed in-person or via phone at 416-978-3436.

No refunds are issued passed the program withdrawal deadline. Participants withdrawing for medical reasons will receive an exemption and be issued a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the program. A doctor’s note is required. Notes must be received within two weeks of the date of illness.
