Biography

Dr. Raisah Mohamed is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician at David L. Macintosh Sport Medicine Clinic at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Mohamed earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science in Biomechanics from Queen's University. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Toronto, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year of training. In recognition of her leadership and advocacy, she received the Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team Residency Advocacy and Leadership Award. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Toronto.

In addition to her published research on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, Dr. Mohamed has served as Junior Team Physician for the University of Toronto Women's Hockey Team and the University of Toronto Men's Soccer Team. She currently serves as a team physician for the Toronto Scepters of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and for Canada Soccer's Women's U-17 National Team.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mohamed enjoys Pilates, travelling, playing soccer and pickleball, and searching for the city's best pizza.
