Participants Needed!

We are recruiting participants for a study on brain responses to performing and imagining movements.

The study involves completing a task in which you physically practice or imagine simple movements. A type of non-invasive brain stimulation (transcranial magnetic stimulation; TMS) will be used to test how the brain responds to executing and imagining movements.

TMS involves a brief pulse of stimulation to an area of the brain via a magnetic coil held over the scalp. The study may also involve peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) to test how the brain responds to sensory information. PNS will involve a brief stimulation at the wrist to initiate a twitch in the thumb.

Safety screening will be conducted to assess suitability for non-invasive brain stimulation.

Who Can Participate?

We are looking for right-handed participants aged 18–40 years with normal or corrected vision and without a history of motor, neurological, or psychiatric conditions, and no metal inside the head.

What's Involved

The study requires an in-person session of approx. 2 hours in the Warren Stevens Building (Athletic Centre).

You will be compensated $20.00/hour for your time.
