About Emily
Dr. Emily Fejtek is a sports and exercise medicine physician at the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic. She completed her medical degree at McMaster University and her family medicine residency in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship of Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Toronto, training under the expertise of some of the leading sports medicine physicians in Canada. Dr. Fejtek has particular interest in female athlete health and has worked as a team physician for the Women’s National Softball Team. She has also participated in event medical coverage for the International Skating Union Grand Prix finals, the 2015 Pan American Games, the GranFondo Whistler cycling event, as well as ongoing Varsity and local sporting event coverage.
Dr. Fejtek is passionate about providing patient-centred care and individualized management plans to help each athlete accomplish personal goals. She is an advocate for both the physical and mental health of her patients, and supports an inter-disciplinary team approach to medical care.
