What is IFP?
Igniting Fitness Possibilities (IFP) is an inclusive physical activity program that aims to foster a passion for physical activity among children and youth in grades 7 - 10. It is being offered here at the Athletic Centre in collaboration with the developers of the program at the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education (University of Toronto) and at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto.

This fun, 16 week group-based program focuses on developing movement skills, and on non-competitive sport and fitness activities. The group will have a limited number of participants. Each program session will include activities that focus on developing physical activity skills as well as fun, co-operative games. Participants will also get to work 1:1 with a IFP coach as they work toward their individualized physical activity goals. These coaching sessions will occur weekly outside of the group-based session. Participants will have a chance to learn, practice, and reflect upon their development with their coach as well as to explore their personal interests in physical activity and to set individualized goals.
