Starting July 31, the Faculty would like to welcome Wendy Pais as the new Registrar and Director of Student Services. Pais has over 12 years of experience in academic program support, student services and registrarial responsibilities at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Most recently, she held a position at the Michener Institute of Education as Associate Registrar since early 2016.

“We are very pleased to welcome Wendy to the Faculty,” says Professor Ira Jacobs, dean of the Faculty. “She has an extensive background in business process improvement, project management, student information systems, data management and web applications, and we look forward to her applying those experiences and expertise in support of our students and the mission of the Faculty.”

While new to this position, Pais is familiar with the university – she completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education at U of T. She was also Assistant Director of Registrarial Services at the Rotman School of Management for eight years, and an Undergraduate Program Advisor at the Department of Computer Science for three years.

“Through my experience as a student and staff member, I know that U of T is a quality institution,” says Pais. “I had several opportunities to enrich my student experience, and I want to extend similar opportunities to students to provide them with the best possible academic experience as well as to contribute to the overall success of the Faculty.”

Beyond her new role, she is also passionate about physical activity. She has been a group fitness instructor for suspension training, kettlebell and bootcamp, and a Schwinn indoor cycling instructor for the past four years.

“Physical activity provides so many benefits – including improvements to physical, and mental health. I’m excited to be starting this journey at an outstanding Faculty where I can help students flourish academically and promote awareness of the benefits of an active lifestyle.”
