The Varsity Pool is located on the basement floor of the Athletic Centre. The viewing gallery is accessible via the main floor.
DETAILS
The Varsity Pool is an Olympic-sized, 50 metre pool with eight lanes, a moveable bulkhead, and is between 2.3-4.2 metres deep. The pool has 1-metre and 3-metres springboards, and 3-metres and 5-metres diving platforms. The water temperature is 80-81°F. A chairlift is available to use if needed.
Primarily used for recreational lane swimming, high-performance swimming, swimming instruction, diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming. Secondary uses include practical learning classrooms, day camps, recreational leagues, and other special events. Learn more about available Sport & Rec offerings in the Varsity Pool here.
The adjacent teaching pool is 0.8-0.9 metres deep and kept at 84°F. It is generally available for children's swim classes, non-swimmers, and those doing injury rehabilitation exercises during most recreational swimming times.
