Age and Grade Guidelines
Age and grade guidelines have been set to be appropriate for the developmental stage of the child, the facility in which the program is held and the program goals. Your child’s safety and enjoyment of our programs are of paramount importance to us and we ask that all parents and guardians adhere to these age guidelines.
In programs for 4 – 7 year-olds, the child must be the appropriate age by the first day of camp; this is for the safety of all campers and staff, particularly around swimming and supervision. We will not accommodate any requests for age exception in these age groups and we reserve the right to ask for proof of age.
In all Camp U of T programs for children ages 8 and older, the participant must be the appropriate age BEFORE December 31, 2018.
If your child is too young to participate this year, we look forward to seeing him/her in our programs next year! If you would like to enroll your older child in a program that is set for younger children, please contact us to discuss the specifics.
Refunds, less a cancellation fee of 10% of the registration fee, will be given 14 days prior to the start of the camp. No refunds will be processed within 14 days before the start of a camp unless a doctor’s note is presented. There are no discounts for days not attended. The refund policy applies to camp programs and extended care.

Refunds are credited to the same credit or debit account used for payment. Cash refunds over 20 dollars are made by cheque. Cheque refunds require 4 - 6 weeks for processing and will be mailed to the address on file.
Transfers are available to camps of the same price free of charge; if the camp into which you are transferring has a higher price the difference will need to be paid. If the camp into which you are transferring has a lower price AND the request is received at least 14 days prior to the start of camp, you will receive a refund of the difference. There will be no refunds for transfers to a lower priced camp if not requested 14 days in advance.
Discounts for U of T students and Sport & Rec Members
Children of full-time or part-time U of T students receive a 15% discount on the regular community fee. The U of T student must be the main contact for the family account to be eligible. Children of members (minimum of one month membership required) receive a 10% discount on the regular community fee. Parents/guardians who register online must pay the full course fee, and contact the main office at 416-978-3436 before the last day of the program to request the discount. Discounts are not available for extended care.
Communication about waitlists, receipts and reminders is handled via email. Ensure your email address is accurate and will accept emails and attachments from firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. It is not recommended that you mark your email as private in the registration system. An email marked as private will NOT receive any receipts, confirmation of registration or waitlist alerts.
Children's Fitness & Art Tax Credits and Ontario Activity Credit
Please note that these tax credits have been eliminated by the Revenue Canada.
Camp U of T does not issue separate receipts for Childcare benefits. Please use your receipt from the time of registration for these credits.
