Balance and postural stability in young adult's study looking for participants

Participants Needed

You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto exploring the effects of Noisy Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation (nGVS) on balance and postural stability in young adults.

In this experiment, you will be asked to perform a tandem stand balance task with or without nGVS under different visual conditions to assess the effects of nGVS on balance.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Are between 18–35 years of age, and
  • Are free from vestibular impairments and lower limb issues, and
  • Are free from major neurological conditions (e.g., neural paralysis, concussions, seizures)

Study Details

  • One experimental session
  • Approximately 30 minutes in duration
  • Compensation: $10 CAD upon completion
