Evidence based approaches to a vegan/vegetarian diet

 

What’s all this buzz on vegan diets? Are you thinking about going plant based? Is soy something that should be incorporated in my diet? This talk will answer all these questions and take you through current research on these diets. This talk will also provide you with valuable information you need to know before you go vegan/vegetarian, such a daily protein requirements and a sample meal plan.

 

Presenter: Sophie Pollon-MacLeod has a Human Kinetics bachelors degree (B.Sc) from the University of Guelph and is presently a 3rd year student in the Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Both academically and in her personal life, Sophie has always had a passion for health and fitness and currently works as a strength & conditioning supervisor at U of T. Sophie has a special interest in the fields of nutrition, sports medicine and immune health and emphasizes the importance of integrating a whole-body approach to the improvement of overall health.
