Undergraduate Student Research: Rest and Concussion in Sport

You are invited to take part in a research study examining how university students and student athletes understand and define “rest” during concussion recovery.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your responses will remain anonymous. You may stop the survey at any time or choose not to answer any question that makes you feel uncomfortable. You do not need to have previous experience with concussion to participate.

Who Can Participate?

  • University students
  • Sport team athletes
  • 17–25 years old
  • No previous concussion experience required
  • Able to speak and read English

What Is Involved?

  • Remote participation through an online survey
  • Three parts of assessment:
    • Demographic questions (Q1–Q7)
    • REST meaning questions (Q8–Q9)
    • Suggestion questions (Q10–Q13)
  • Approximately 5–10 minutes to complete
  • An informed consent link is provided at the beginning of the survey
