Please join us for a unique online academic workshop that will combine the latest knowledge from the fields of kinesiology, psychology and the neurosciences and which will explore the integration of thought and action.

Presentations will discuss cognitive and action systems, how they operate and how they developed through evolution. Lectures will also focus on perception, social interaction, language, decision-making, attention and how this knowledge impacts and shapes the design of technology and rehabilitation.

This workshop has been made possible through a $50,000 award from the Leading Edge Workshop program of the Psychonomic Society to KPE’s Professor Tim Welsh and his colleague from Brown University, Professor Joo-Hyun Song.

Professor Welsh’s lecture is part of a session that will run 5:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. EDT May 9, and will outline the work he and his colleagues at KPE have completed on the design of human-computer interfaces.

The workshop is free but registration is required.

Videos of all presentations will be available online at a later date.
