Escape downtown Toronto and join us on on a hike of the Rattray Marsh Loop in Port Credit!

This ~8 km walk will take us over a marsh boardwalk, through parks and hiking trails, alongside roads, creeks, and beaches, and through some resedential areas. This beginner-friendly route will consist of mixed terrains (both paved an unpaved) at a relaxed pace of 3.5-4km an hour with breaks to enjoy the views and take some photos.

Bus transportation to/from the St.George campus will be provided for registered participants. There is no fee to attend this hike, however, participants who register and do not attend will be charged a $5.00 no-show fee to their account. If you have registered and are no longer able to participate, please cancel your registration by Thursday, October 10 at noon to avoid this charge.

The route is approximately 8 km, including paved and unpaved trails.

Pick up and drop-off. We'll meet at the Athletic Centre on Classic Ave at 8:45 a.m. SHARP! Please don't be late, you may miss the bus. We hope to arrive in Port around 10 a.m. and start the hike.

We will leave Port Credit around 1 p.m. to return to the Athletic Centre, and should arrive back around 2-2:30 p.m. depending on traffic conditions.

What to bring. We encourage you to bring a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and a fully charged phone or camera for photos (and maybe some snacks for the walk!).

Please bring snacks and/or a lunch for the walk, and rain gear if it is in the forecast.
