Recreationally active males and females needed for an exercise research study

We are conducting a research study to determine if the health benefits of high-intensity interval exercise differ between males and females

 

Who can participate?

  • Healthy males and females aged 18-35 years
  • Currently exercising 1-3 times per week for 6+ months but not training/ competing in varsity or elite-level sport or exercise
  • Females not taking hormonal contraceptives (birth control)

Cycling with solid fill

What’s involved?  

  • Introductory visit (~1 h)
  • Baseline testing (~2 h)
  • Two trials (~6.5 h each) involving:
    • 30 minutes of cycling exercise
    • Breath, blood, and muscle samples
    • Food provided to you prior to each trial

 

What’s in it for you?

      • Body composition (fat and fat-free mass) and fitness (VO2peak) assessment
      • Compensation for your time
