The Training and Enhancing Motor Performance Outcomes (TEMPO) laboratory at the University of Toronto is currently recruiting participants for a study investigating how motor learning can be enhanced using non-invasive brain stimulation. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a safe, painless technique that stimulates brain cells using small, electric currents. Research will take place at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport (100 Devonshire Pl).
Who can participate?
- 18-44 years old
- Right handed
- No history of neurological or psychiatric disorder
- No metal inside the head
- No prior experience or expertise in golf, putting, hockey, or lacrosse.
Participants will be required to come to the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport on 3 consecutive days
- Day 1: ~2 hours
- Day 2: ~2 hours
- Day 3: ~15 minutes
