Participants Needed for Study Investigating Brain Stimulation and Motor Learning (right-handed, ages 18-44)

 

The Training and Enhancing Motor Performance Outcomes (TEMPO) laboratory at the University of Toronto is currently recruiting participants for a study investigating how motor learning can be enhanced using non-invasive brain stimulation. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a safe, painless technique that stimulates brain cells using small, electric currents. Research will take place at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport (100 Devonshire Pl).  

Who can participate?  

  1. 18-44 years old 
  2. Right handed 
  3. No history of neurological or psychiatric disorder  
  4. No metal inside the head  
  5. No prior experience or expertise in golf, putting, hockey, or lacrosse.  

Participants will be required to come to the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport on 3 consecutive days  

  1. Day 1: ~2 hours 
  2. Day 2: ~2 hours 
  3. Day 3: ~15 minutes
