Parkour Gymnastics Basics Instruction

In awe of movie stunt work? This class will teach you the building blocks to flip, run up walls like a superhero and cap it all off with a graceful roll. Participants will begin to explore the building blocks of superhuman skills. Learn how to jump, land, flip, climb and balance safely.

How to register / Policies

All current members and U of T students can sign up for registered programs by following theses three simple steps:

Register online or in person at the Athletic Centre, Varsity Centre or Goldring Centre. Payments can be made by cash, debit card, VISA, MasterCard or Amex


Register by faxing, sending a completed adult registration form, with payment, to 416.946.7679.

  • Members who are not using the online registration system, but are on a waiting list and have been notified that a space has become available can come to the Athletic Centre main office and register in person. Or, they can complete the adult registration form and fax it, with payment, to 416.946.7679.

Please note: Classes are not held on statutory holidays, long weekends or during reading week. See the hours section of this website for details.

Refunds on registered class fees: Transfers and/or refunds are permitted before the first class of the second week of the program. Participants will be refunded the full amount less a cancellation fee of 10% of the registration fee or $5 (plus HST), whichever is greater, for each class, clinic, workshop or club dropped. For clinics, workshops, and certification courses, refunds must be processed four days prior to the start date. Club refunds must be requested within 10 business days of club membership purchase, or start of program. Participants withdrawing for medical reasons will receive a full refund for the remainder of the program. A doctor’s note is required. Notes must be received within two weeks of the date of illness. Refunds are credited to the same credit or debit account used for payment. Cash refunds over 20 dollars are made by cheque. Cheque refunds require 4-6 weeks for processing and will be mailed to the address on file.

Equipment / What to wear

For safety reasons participants should come prepared for activity with close fitting clothes, hair tied back and jewellery removed.

Gymnasts are generally in bare feet.

Water bottles are recommended.

Other information

Privacy Notice: Personal information (name, address, phone number) will be disclosed to Gymnastics Ontario for membership registration.

Gymnasts will be assessed and grouped on the first day into appropriate skill levels. There is an 8:1 participant to coach ratio. Coaches have the authority to decide which skills will be practiced or what progressions are required to attempt certain skills.

The Lower Gym at the Athletic Centre is a permanent gymnastics installation with many different types of apparatus.
