Make a sock snow pal with your kinesiology peers!
The KINmunity Sock Snow Pals event provides an opportunity for students to learn about clothing insecurity and the unhoused in Canada, highlighting why socks are among the most valued clothing donations. Although socks are one of the most requested items at shelters, they are also one of the least donated — often because shelters, for hygiene purposes, only accept unused socks and because socks require more frequent replacement than other clothing items. In the week prior to and including the event, there will be an opportunity to donate socks which our team will deliver to New Circles; Toronto's largest free clothing program.
The event will feature trivia on these topics, a hands-on sock snow pal crafting activity for attendees to take home, and hot chocolate as a cozy creativity snack. Join KINmunity Sock Snow Pals to connect with kinesiology students across different years, unwind after a long day of classes, and create a snow pal for yourself or a friend!
