Presented in partnership with the First Nations House - Indigenous Student Services

This virtual panel discussion will explore the significance of Indigenous forms of dance as a path of healing within communities, and as an energy of resistance to colonial oppression and power. The panelists will unpack topics such as representation of Indigenous dance in media and discuss how dance as protest can be a powerful mechanism (and historically has) towards liberation for Indigenous communities.

This panel discussion forwards Indigenous voices and experiences in an open space for everyone to learn about Indigenous history, and traditional Indigenous dances.

Panelists include dancers, Robin Rice, Dani Migwans, and Nazarene Pope.

The panel is hosted by Nichole Leveck and Meghan Yuri Young.
