Investigating the Effects of Auditory Stimuli on Postural Sway in Healthy Adults

Research Participation Opportunity

We are looking for individuals to participate in research about how different sounds influence postural sway!

You can participate if you:

  • Are 18–34 years old
  • Have good or corrected vision and normal hearing

You cannot participate if you have:

  • A neurological or physical diagnosis or impairments
  • Vertigo symptoms within the last 6 months
  • A history of psychiatric disorders

What do I have to do?

  • Fill out a couple of questionnaires
  • Stand on a platform and listen to different sounds with headphones on

The study will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. It will take place at the University of Toronto in the Perceptual-Motor Behaviour lab located at 55 Harbord Street (inside the Athletic Centre).
