Varies, generally between 4 hours to 20 hours per week

Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Intramurals and supervised by the Coordinator, Intramurals Administration, as well as the Coordinators of Game Managers for day to day operational tasks, the incumbent will be responsible for the on-site supervision of Intramural sports. He/she is responsible for knowing and understanding emergency procedures and risk management principles that are relevant to the Intramural program, including being able to apply first aid to injured participants. He/she will be required to fill out injury/incident reports and deliver them to the appropriate locations in a timely manner. The incumbent must verify player eligibility and start games promptly, at times working alongside Intramural referees and KPE facility staff. He/she should also be prepared to supply participants with relevant information related to the Intramural Program and other KPE/University related data. There may also be

other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Prefer minimum of one-year of post-secondary education completed.

Certifications: In order to start employment, candidate must have current certification in (Standard First Aid certificate no more than 3 years prior to application date & Basic Rescuer/Level C CPR certificate no more than 1 year prior to application date) issued from Red Cross or Lifesaving Society or St. John’s Ambulance.

Experience: Prefer experience in the Intramural program.

Skills: This position requires problem solving and positive communication skills as well as attention to detail and time management.

Other: Must provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) card/letter.
