DO YOU WANT TO IMPROVE INJURY REDUCTION AND RETURN-TO-ACTIVITY in BIPOC GROUPS?
We are looking for Healthy Black/African and White/Caucasian individuals to participate in a research study investigating the differences in lower limb mechanics in Black/African and White/Caucasian populations in Canada. This is a research study aiming to examine racial differences in biomechanical and knee joint morphology outcomes in response to injury prediction and return-to-activity assessment tasks.
Our goal is to address the underrepresentation of BIPOC groups in the normative benchmarks typically used for predicting injury and evaluating return-to-activity.
To achieve this, we need your help!
You may be eligible to participate in this research study if you:
i) Are between 18-35 years of age
ii) Identify as Black/African descent or White/Caucasian
You may not be eligible if you:
i) Have had any surgery to the lower extremity and/or back
ii) Have experienced any injury to the lower extremity and/or back in the last six months
iii) Have any current discomfort in the lower extremity and/or back
