After I work out I am typically pretty hungry. Having a sweet tooth is something that has become one of my biggest weaknesses, however learning how to master the crave has become a major accomplishment of mine.

These chocolate chip protein bites are extremely easy to make and hit the spot while also being extremely healthy at the same time. They are my go-to when I am not quite ready for a meal, but have a nagging snack craving. All you need is the following ingredients and a large mixing bowl. The suggestions below are all subject to how much you like each ingredient. If you’re not a fan of coconut, leave the coconut out. If you’re a chocolate lover like myself, add more chocolate chips than recommended. My favorite part about this recipe is that you’re able to play around with it to tailor it just how you like it. In the bowl add:

•    1 cup old-fashioned oats
•    2/3 cup shredded coconut
•    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
•    1/2 cup chocolate chips
•    1/3 cup honey
•    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix all of the ingredients together until evenly mixed. Once this is done, roll the mixture into bite-sized balls. Refrigerate. Once chilled, enjoy these tasty treats.

Not only are these perfect after a workout, they are a great pick me up after long hours of studying. These protein balls allow you to fulfill your sweet tooth craving while not feeling bad about eating something unhealthy. They are the perfect snack for a busy day. The long shelf life on these is an added bonus.
