Adults Living with and Beyond Prostate Cancer Needed for Exercise Research Study

The Exercise Oncology Lab at the University of Toronto led by Dr. Linda Trinh is offering an exciting research study opportunity for adult prostate cancer survivors. This study aims to test the feasibility of an 8-week resistance training program to help improve treatment-related side effects including cognitive function, physical function, and fatigue. 
 
Who can participate?
 
We are currently seeking individuals:
 
  • Diagnosed with prostate cancer
  • History of androgen deprivation therapy
  • 18+ years old
  • Engaging in less than 90 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity a week
 
What is involved?
 
  • Remote delivery: all sessions and assessments are completed at home.
  • Two assessments: including surveys, a physical function test, and a cognitive assessment.
  • 8-week program: you will be randomly assigned to receive an 8-week remotely-delivered resistance training program or usual care.
You will be compensated $10 for each assessment for a total of $20.
