Biography

Erin Brooks is a Certified Athletic Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer, Registered Massage Therapist, Registered Kinesiologist, a graduate of the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program, and certified First Responder. Erin has been practicing Athletic Therapy since 1999 after she graduated from York University with a Degree in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Sport Therapy. Erin is always current in her knowledge of Athletic Therapy, has led a number of therapist teams, and has added new fields of knowledge throughout her career with over 20 additional programs and certifications.

Erin spent over 10 years with the Toronto Argonauts Football Club starting in 2001 as the assistant athletic therapist and taking over as Head Athletic Therapist in the 2002 season. Erin helped Toronto earn a Grey Cup win in 2004, as well as 6 East Division finalist appearances and is no stranger to the high stakes of maintaining a healthy team.  She is currently with the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic working with the Varsity Football team at the University of Toronto. Erin takes an approach that combines knowledge, skills, and efficient therapy operations in order to ensure her athletes and clients alike heal in a way that reduces chance of recurring injury.
