Enjoy the warmer weather with an urban hike from Sport & Rec, in partnership with Let's Hike T.O.! 

Welcome to the Don Valley Historic Hike! This urban hike will take you through Riverdale Farm (a working heritage farm), St. James Cemetry (home of the Chapel of St James the Less), and Cabbage Town (a unique neighbourhood with a variety of architectual styles). Visit wooded areas, ponds, gardens, see some farm animals, explore a new neighbourhood, and learn about the history of the places we visit!

The route is approximately 8.5 km, consisting of mostly paved terrain. This hike is family friendly. 

Start end end points. We'll start and end the hike outside of the RBC located on the corner of Yonge and Bloor. 

What to bring. We encourage you to bring a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and a fully charged phone or camera for photos (and maybe some snacks for the walk!). Please also bring rain gear if it is in the forecast.

Let's Hike T.O. is a hiking community open to everyone with a focus on people of colour, newcomers, and young adults (20-40) - that's you! Let's Hike T.O. has partnered with the University of Toronto Sports & Rec to offer monthly hikes throughout the fall, spring and summer. These special hikes will leave from around the St. George Campus and will take students on a journey through local streets, green spaces, and ravines.

You're invited to come connect, learn, build community and friendships, and enjoy gentle movement outdoors together. Register today as spots are limited! Further details and reminders will be emailed to registrants before the hike.
