About Daniel

Biography

Dr. Daniel Warshafsky completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship training at the University of Toronto and Masters in Public Health at Columbia University. He is a Diplomat of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM), holds a Certificate of Added Competence in Sport and Exercise Medicine, and a Focused Practice Designation in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. 

In addition to Dr. Warshafsky’s clinical practice, he is an assistant professor at the Queen’s University Department of Family and Community Medicine, and a lecturer at the University of Toronto, Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He regularly teaches residents in family medicine, public health and preventive medicine in addition to medical students. 

Dr. Daniel Warshafsky has experience working in a variety of sports medicine settings providing office consultation and on-field medical coverage for varsity, local, national and international sport events and teams including Canada Basketball, the National Ballet of Canada and the 2015 Pan Am Games.

He enjoys seeing patients of all ages with activity related injuries. He has a special interest in concussion management, as well as health promotion and healthy living.
