Males and females wanted for an at-home research study
The Iovate/Muscletech Metabolism and Sports Science Lab at the University of Toronto is conducting a research study to evaluate if an at-home breath test can non-invasively detect differences in blood sugar control following a meal
Who can participate?
- Male or female aged 18-55 years
- Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18-25kg/m2 OR above 30kg/m2
To determine your BMI, divide your weight in kg, by your height in m2 (e.g., if you weigh 70kg and
are 1.6m tall, 60kg/ (1.6m)2= 23kg/m2. You have a BMI of 23kg/m2)

What is involved?
A total of 2 virtual visits (~4hr total)
- Session 1 (~1hr): Study introduction, physical activity questionnaire, and consent via videoconferencing
- Session 2 (~3hr): You will be provided with a research package that allows you to take your own breath and saliva samples following consumption of a breakfast drink. A study investigator will be present during this session via videoconferencing
