Individuals Living with and Beyond Cancer Needed for Virtual Research Study

Researchers at the University of Toronto are trying to learn more about how to help individuals living with and beyond cancer sit less and break up their sedentary time.

Who Can Participate?

We are looking for individuals diagnosed with cancer who are/have:

  • 18+ years old
  • Completed primary cancer treatment
  • Participating in sedentary behaviour (sitting/ laying down/ reclined) for more than 8 hours per day
  • Proficient in English

What’s Involved?

  • Two assessments which include completing surveys, 2 strength tests, and wearing an activity monitor device for 7 days after each assessment.
  • You will be loaned a Fitbit and randomly assigned to receive an 8-week sedentary behaviour program, or to receive educational materials about sedentary behaviour.

Compensation: You will be compensated $10 for each assessment for a total of $20.
