Forging a new path to serve you better!
Thank you for your patience as we build a first-floor corridor and renovate the Huron Street entrance to the Clara Benson Building.
This fall, we’ll welcome you to a new, accessible entrance and corridor between the Clara Benson Building (located on the corner of Harbord St. and Huron St.) and the Warren Stevens Building (on the corner of Harbord St. and Spadina Ave.). The renovations will also include new turnstile access, public washrooms, staff office spaces and the addition of a glass wall with opaque glazing that will run along the length of the Strength and Conditioning Centre to brighten the space.
We anticipate that during the renovations, programs and services at the Athletic Centre will be able to proceed as usual – this includes the operation of the Strength and Conditioning Centre. However, if disruption to programs and services is to occur, we will post details here - please check back periodically for project updates.
Please note that the main entrance to the SCC will be temporarily closed, effective September 18, 2017. Please use the Warren Stevens building basement entrance (beside the towel counter) to access the SCC. Please note that this is not an accessible entrance. However the Field House strength and conditioning equipment (located on the third floor of the Athletic Centre) and the Strength and Conditioning Centre at the Goldring Centre (100 Devonshire Place) both have elevator access.
We look forward to providing the community and the university with more welcoming, convenient and modern facilities for your enjoyment – and apologize for any inconvenience that this construction may cause you.
Entering the building
Please enter the building through one of the main Athletic Centre entrances – off Harbord St. or Classic Ave.
